Become one of NACE’s up-and-coming leaders and build your own knowledge and expertise.
NACE is committed to identifying, engaging, and developing our volunteer leaders for the future. Volunteer leaders serve in numerous capacities, often engaging in the important work of standing and strategic priority committees. In order to prepare NACE members for such committee service, NACE has developed the Leadership Advancement Program (LAP), a multi-dimensional initiative to build awareness of NACE, develop personal leadership skills, and establish relationships with other current and prospective leaders.
LAP participants are chosen through an application process. It is designed for those who aspire to NACE leadership. If selected, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about the important roles played by committee leadership in the accomplishment of strategic goals.
- Attend a special LAP event during the 2010 NACE Annual Conference in Orlando (attendance at the conference is not a requirement for acceptance into LAP).
- Serve on a NACE standing or strategic priority committee for 2010-2011. Generally, most committees meet by teleconference to work on valuable deliverables that will benefit members.
Leadership Advancement Program participants will be selected from applicants with little or no prior NACE volunteer experience. The success of NACE is directly related to the leadership and active engagement of its members.
